Rachmaninov Prelude Op 32 no 5

Today, a month after significant hand surgery, after my horse, Fritz (pictured above, far right), mule-kicked my hand, causing an acute midshaft fracture of index, middle, and ring metacarpals, I returned to the piano to record this Rachmaninov prelude. I learned the piece as a means of physical therapy to recovery from the accident, focusing on the leggiero sections and trills in the right hand. Maybe the hand fracture and recovery have helped me better interpret leggiero.
